Celebration of the birth of Pancasila in 2024

Yogyakarta, 1 June 2024 - The Health Polytechnic (Poltekkes) Kemenkes Yogyakarta held a solemn ceremony to commemorate the birth of Pancasila. The ceremony was attended by the entire academic community of the Polytechnic, including students, faculty and staff. The ceremony commenced at 07:00 WIB at the main field of the Directorate Campus. In his address, the Director of Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta, Iswanto, S.Pd, M.Kes., underscored the significance of Pancasila as the unifying spirit of the nation. He elucidated the theme of this year's commemoration, 'Pancasila, the Unifying Spirit of the Nation Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045'. This theme serves to remind us of the role of Pancasila in uniting the nation with all its diversity in ethnicity, religion, culture and language, towards the centenary of a Golden Indonesia that is progressive, independent and sovereign.

In his speech, Iswanto also urged all those attending the ceremony to practice the values of Pancasila in their daily lives. He emphasised that Pancasila is not only the foundation of the state, but also a guiding light that will lead Indonesia to the gates of progress and prosperity in the era of technological and information globalisation.

Iswanto also stressed the importance of using information technology wisely to disseminate positive content that reflects the values of Pancasila. He persuaded all components of the nation to embrace Pancasila in a contemporary implementation, particularly in welcoming the demographic bonus that will see millennials and Gen-Z as the primary agents of national development.

The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer for the glory of the Indonesian nation and state. Thus, commemoration of the Birth of Pancasila will inspire the entire academic community of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta to continue to practice Pancasila in order to proceed best version of Indonesia in the global arena.
